I have been taking pictures for over 15 years. My subjects have varied over the years to include landscapes, sports, portraits, events, and live performances but I have found photographing people the most rewarding, and special events the most, well, special.
My style of photography is typically referred to as photojournalistic, meaning that I don’t make you freeze for five minutes while I arrange your hair and hands. Instead, I aim to make photos that are more realistic, so as to portray you and your family as you really are. I take mostly candid shots and give some guidance for posed group photos. I aim to capture the natural essence of each person, in the most beautiful light available, memorializing a moment in time. I am driven by the joy and smiles my work brings to others and knowing that it will last for years to come.
The outdoors is my studio of choice. I prefer using ambient and natural light therefore photo sessions typically take place just after sunrise or before sunset, if possible. I am always open to new ideas for locations; if there is some place that is special to you or that you simply want to try, I am open to your suggestion.
